Spring Soccer Wrap-up

Saturday will mark the last game of the Spring Soccer season. It has been a blur of practices and games, games, games. There were a few games with pleasant weather, some with rain, and some very windy and cold ones. I didn't bring the camera out to any of the games. Matt caught Makenzie in action at her game last Saturday.

I consider it appropriate for Makenzie to be in the spotlight this season because she really blossomed on the field. At the end of the fall season I fiquered next year we would probably return her to Dance, she just didn't seem to enjoy the game. Then during spring season she started going after the ball, dribbling around girls, and even scored a goal!!! As a result she will be registering for NUCS Challenger in fall 2009/spring 2010.

Soccer never completely ends for the Furniss Family. Tryouts happening next week for Ben's team. Then after a two week break, Matt is holding training camp for Ben's team. Practice will then continue a couple times a week throughout the summer. In addition, Matt is playing in a co-ed leauge this summer.
